began he took an interest in the process of healing . This gave him the idea he
had been waiting for. It was the genesis of SmartFit. He was able to figure out
that people needed a place where they could exercise and have fun at the same
time. It was time for Edgard Corona to make inroads on this idea. In 1996 the
first store opened, and it was a smashing success. Now there are many branches
all over South America. He has been able to make a big difference.

Edgard Corona was
able to learn something from a very difficult place in his life. He came out on
the other side of the situation a better businessman. All it takes is one
little thing to spur a person forward with a new idea. Now he has been in
business for more than thirty year s and handed it off to his son Diogo in 2019.
The idea has taken hold in the next generation of business leaders. He had
started it all and now it is in younger and steadier hands.
